Christ

This is part of a prayer that has been in heavy rotation in my head these past days. I'm not sure of the history or author (St. Patrick, I think), but it just came to me from somewhere in the back shelves of my mind.

Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me,
Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ on my right, Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down, Christ when I arise...

So, each morning, evening and throughout the day, this has been one of my many requests.
