In Summation

This past month I have not:
closed my eyes peacefully
slept well any night
awakened with anyone else on my mind
eaten how I normally eat
laughed as much as I like
been able to design creatively
regarded New York City as just that, a city
kept a train of thought
seen anyone else in any or whatever crowd
been able to hit delete
trusted words
written a positive post
seen the bright side
felt (or maybe acted) twenty-seven
brushed my teeth
settled in
given up

This past month I have:
moved
slowed down
worked hard and hardly worked
drawn/doodled/sketched more
read more
written more
heard song lyrics again
jammed The Raconteurs almost too much
eaten at hometown establishments that I have no reason to have never tried them before
become honest
become more (maybe too much) open
done what I thought needed to be done
creeped a stranger out
put two stamps on an envelope for no known reason
progressed on the banjo
walked for miles
thrown approximately twenty-five bull's eyes
been to Washington DC
been to Durham NC
seen a baby covered in ashes
held that baby more than I have held a baby in maybe ten years or more
tossed and turned
brushed my teeth
started using natural deodorant
been on everyone's nerves
been on my nerves
learned brand new things
changed my views on several issues
needed to get jeans without holes in the knees
had a bad landlord experience
heard a restaurant referred to as "kind of a locally owned Applebee's"
gone from top floor to basement on numerous occasions
thought about all of my friends and talked to some of them
blogged too much about nothing
deleted this post after thinking about how selfish it is
